I’m not much of a vegetable eater. However, I’ve had to adapt over the years to eat healthier. So one of the best ways to eat more vegetables is to wrap them in bacon! Right??? It was “no sugar added” bacon.
** Keep in mind that some recipes are simple, but you have to read the ingredient labels to make sure they fit your dietary needs.
Bacon-wrapped Green Beans with a spicy honey glaze
Tom's favorite side dish. These green beans are delicious with barbecue, steaks and chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans fresh, whole
- 12 ounces bacon
- 2 Tbsp honey
- β tsp crushed red pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ΒΊ.
- Rinse green beans and trim ends.
- Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes or until bacon is done.
- Mix honey and crushed red pepper.
- Remove green bean bundles and drizzle with the spicy honey glaze.
Notes
When buying bacon, look for something minimally processed. We always have to make sure that there are no ingredients that consist of corn, wheat, or soy.
