Instructions
Preheat waffle maker. Prepare batter.
Whisk egg until light yellow. Mix in almond milk, water, vanilla, and olive oil.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl. Stir in egg mixture until smooth.
Pour half of the mixture into the preheated waffle maker. Close unit and bake 4-5 minutes, depending on waffle maker instructions.
Remove waffle and serve with maple syrup, jelly/jam, or topping of your choice.
Notes
This makes 4 Belgian waffles. We consider one serving to be half a waffle.
Substitutions
Substitute the milk of your choice for the almond milk if you are allergic to nuts.
