Homestyle Gluten-free Belgian Waffles
When we first started experimenting with gluten-free, we missed out on a LOT of our old favorites. However, this waffle recipe is a WINNER in taste and texture!
Equipment
- Waffle maker
Ingredients
- 2 egg
- 1 c almond milk unsweetened
- 1 c water
- 3 tbs olive oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 ½ c 1-to-1 flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat waffle maker. Prepare batter.
- Whisk egg until light yellow. Mix in almond milk, water, vanilla, and olive oil.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in medium bowl. Stir in egg mixture until smooth.
- Pour half of the mixture into the preheated waffle maker. Close unit and bake 4-5 minutes, depending on waffle maker instructions.
- Remove waffle and serve with maple syrup, jelly/jam, or topping of your choice.
Notes
This makes 4 Belgian waffles. We consider one serving to be half a waffle.
Substitutions
