Sweet And Buttery Fried Apples Without The Dairy

To some, these are a side. And to others, they’re a dessert. Either way, they are delicious!

For these fried apples, we use vegan butter made with coconut oil and cashews. If you are allergic to either, you can substitute real butter or bacon drippings. Add some dairy-free, or regular, ice cream to definitely make it a dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 medium red apples cored, peeled, sliced
  • ¼ cup vegan butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 tsp cinnamon ground

Instructions
 

  • Peel, core, and slice apples.
  • Melt butter in skillet on medium-high heat. Add apples, sugar, and cinnamon and cook for 8-10 minutes.
  • Remove and serve hot.
